Zain Raj
CEO

One of this industry’s best prognosticators, Zain anticipates and creates consumer demand across a broad spectrum of categories and brands. Companies turn to him for strategic counsel and progressive solutions. Direct companies—like FCBi Chicago, a top-ten global direct and digital agency—have turned to him for dramatic results.

Some of his first assignments? Introducing PC servers, fax machines and video games to India, and launching the PDA category in the U.S. with the introduction of 3Com’s Palm. And Zain championed Motorola’s shift from a B2B to consumer model for its cellular business, catapulting the company to its first 1 million unit sales year.

Zain has just as much experience with packaged goods, retail and service categories, with experience launching and building brands locally, regionally and globally. Colgate, Circuit City, Blue Cross/Blue Shield and SC Johnson all sought Zain’s assistance in helping them change consumer behavior and create sustainable top- and bottom-line growth for their businesses.

Zain began his career at Grey Advertising in Bombay before moving to the States to join Wunderman Cato Johnson. Global leadership positions at Bayer Bess Vanderwarker, J. Walter Thompson, and Foote Cone & Belding round out his account management career.

He then turned to agency management. Zain created one of Interpublic’s first digital branding practices and went on to run FCBi Chicago. It’s no surprise Crain’s Chicago Business named him one of the city’s “40 Under 40” in 2002.
